Tennis Elbow? Go to the Chiropractor for Tennis Injuries

10:41 pm Health and Fitness

I met Dr. Hecht after battling with tennis elbow for almost 10 months.  It started in the late summer of 2009.  I had to stop playing in my USTA league because the pain was so excruciating and later my hand would go numb for hours.  I had been to physical therapy and the orthopedist.  The orthopedist gave me a shot and told me to wait six weeks before playing.  About eight weeks later I tried playing again only to have the same pain.  While conditioning at the club gym, I met Dr. Hecht.  One of the trainers told me he was amazing and definitely the chiropractor for tennis injuries.  I waited until spring of 2010 before trying to play again.  Unfortunately, I had the same result.  Finally, I broke down and went to Partners in Health & Wellness.  I thought he was going to tell me to take time off.  Instead, after four treatments of myofascial release, he let me start hitting again.  It has been over three months now and I’m back to playing 5-6 days per week.  If you have a nagging tennis injury, I highly recommend Dr. Hecht.
