Keeping Our Home Safe While Away

We finally built the house of our dreams.  We had been living there for almost a year when I got the call I never expected to get.  I was being transferred from my office in New York City to a new office being opened in San Diego, California.  What a bummer of a call that was.  We decided to rent our home to some close friends.  We needed to get home owner renters insurance to make sure that the house was covered if anything tragic happened.  We wanted to make sure that when I retired in three years that we would be able to come back to New York and retire as planned.
