February 21, 2012 7:12 pm News and SocietyA serious injury crash took place Saturday night when the driver of a vehicle traveling on State Route 67 in Santee reportedly lost control of the car, causing it to overturn several times. The incident took place when a teenage driver reportedly attempted to pass a slower car but ended up losing control of the vehicle near Woodside Avenue. The vehicle subsequently rolled over several times as a result of the incident. Two teenage occupants were taken to the hospital after sustaining major-moderate injuries in the crash. A third teenager was reportedly treated at the scene. The California Highway Patrol has determined that alcohol was not a factor, however speed may have reportedly contributed to the incident.
