Preparation: The Key to a Walking Fitness Program

I start every day with a long walk and make sure I work out with light weights at least three times a day.  Exercise is so much a part of my life that I don’t even think about it anymore.  But it wasn’t always like that.  Years ago I had gained some weight and decided to begin walking to help trim down.  I slipped on my shorts and an old pair of sneakers, without socks, and took a three-mile walk.  That night my feet hurt and I had blisters.  The next day I invested in some solid  walking shoes, several pairs of Walking Socks, and comfortable workout clothes.  That was my first, but not my last, lesson in preparing for a fitness program.
